Batters Faced Analysis

Generally speaking, when a pitcher faces a hitter, only two things can happen: the pitcher can either retire the hitter, or allow him to reach base. This report shows how often a pitcher did the former versus the latter. It also contains a breakdown of how the hitters were allowed to reach base (single, walk, error, etc.) and how they were retired (strikeout, fly out, ground out, etc.).
